I'm sitting here at this makeshift castle
Waiting for my call onstage
Because you know.
You're the princess, the star of this scene
And I'm just the prince who comes running when you call him, anytime.
But you came late to find your prince,
You got the mutt that was left
Baby, I don't even deny it.
So princess, you're the star of this scene but you got the co-star that can't do anything
So I'm going to remake this scene to where I am the star
Does that make you angry?
I can't find the room to care.
You always strive to find the bad in this
And baby with one eye closed I see the bad in this
So why aren't we separated?
Oh, right.
You're waiting for the prince to kiss and make it better
But what if this prince refuses to take the blame?
What do we do then?
So princess, you're the star of this scene but you got the co-star that can't do anything
So I'm going to remake this scene to where I am the star
Does that make you angry?
I can't find the room to care.
Because you know you have it all, and a little bit more
A cardboard box for a castle
A failure for a prince
And a ribbon for a wedding ring
