• The safety of summer has left me,
I’ve been dropped into a mist
From tan to pale my skin turns
As icy blades stab at my wrists

My entire world crumbles before me
Leaving me emptied of everything chrome
But I continue taking steps forward
As I journey into the unknown.

    Further and further I travel
Down a path of unwritten lives
Where the pages are filled with my footprints
And I learn of what I’m deprived

    There’s nothing beside me but darkness;
No people or whispers of souls
I am alone in this forgotten midnight
I am alone wherever I go

For once I wish someone would be there
I’d turn and there they would be
    Standing there waiting, just waiting
For no thing nor no one but me

But I will never find what I look for
As long as the darkness exists
If I can’t find my way out by sunrise
I’ll be forever confined to this mist
