• Alone once again,
    she cries silently,
    the tears come fast,
    memories flash through her mind,
    each one leaving another mark,
    on her already torn up heart,
    she tries to hold herself together,
    with fake smiles and hidden tears,
    she pretends that their words don't hurt,
    but inside she's dying,
    falling apart a little more each day,
    she clings tightly to the only person she loves,
    her only hope of being whole again,
    she gives all she can,
    hoping it's enough,
    knowing that,
    if she were to lose him,
    she'd lose herself forever,
    every day the pain gets worse,
    but she keeps going,
    not ready to give up,
    though still unsure,
    if she'll ever be ok,
    she hides her feelings,
    too afraid to share them,
    afraid that if she does,
    she'll fall apart completely,
    but her fragile heart goes on.
