I am tough and my heart is cold
But you never believe what you've been told.
I feel you're pain and know it well
But you you couldn't catch me if I fell.
I am rough, I know it's true.
I've hurt everyone, especially you
I ask forgiveness for my sin
But you stop me short, once again.
You come to me and hold me tight
You tell me that I was right.
You soak me in your blood and tears
But I do not pull back, I don't shift gears.
Never shall I leave your side
For I know those cuts you that cannot hide
But you won't see mine behind my mask
For I will not remove it, even if you ask..

The concept of hiding behind a mask is so old, but it's still intriguing in this poem.
Definitely a 5/5
I'm not quite sure why, but I really like the "I don't shift gears" part.
Maybe because it's uncommon wording?

I love this one, and I hate it at the same time.
I guess I should say it's beautifully written, but the message scares me faintly.
Of course 5/5 (: - Report As Spam
