WHAT COLOR IS DISASTER
UC Poika
What color disaster? Black as smoke and death?
Red as blood fresh upon the wound or browned?
Gray as cigarette smoke in the final breath?
Clear as swallowed water from she who’s drowned?
White as an avalanche or a blizzard’s whiteout?
Green as the cash made a hit man’s payoff?
Colorless as indecision and fatal doubt?
Greenish slime as a cancerous last cough?
What? Color disaster! Why? What’s the point?
Wherein lies the satisfaction of it all?
Why get your shorts in a knot, or your nose out of joint?
Does it really have to matter? And is this all?
What color is disaster? Black as this pages ink?
Or unimaginable like the colors you cannot think?
