Newborn strength flowing through these veins,
New dawns appear, I break these chains,
Rise above the best, and pursue the dream,
Laid to rest still I will always pursue the dream.
Even now I struggle to dream on and on and on,
I speak now of a new kind of strong,
I show them what I made of, they clap and they smile,
When I'm proud of myself it will then be all worth the while.
Because pride most times is too hard to hide,
But can a man who only cries inside,
Rise above the best, and truly say he is proud?
Finally laid to rest still will his spirit be proud?
So I pick up a pen and I try to write loud,
Progressing poetically I express through my sound,
Word after word I try to ask around,
Revealing my truths, are you proud of me now?
Fight the good fight, night after night,
Praying to God that it all will be right,
But in the end, the truth is easier to hide,
And still I lie and continue to cry inside.

- Description: It's called "Sketch Poetry" because basically it is a sketch... of poetry. I came up with this on a random rap battle in the forums, which I so lost because I don't like the whole "give myself a badass image" idea.
