• You stuck your hand in and ripped it right out,
    You said you'd keep it in safe-keeping.
    But then after the day you let it drop,
    It fell to the ground in slow motion,
    It shattered like glass my eyes welled with tears,
    I fell to the ground on my knees,
    I tried to place it back together.
    My eyes were stinging and the tears fought,
    They ran down my face and stung like a wasp,

    I looked up,
