This grip has tightened
around my waist
It seems so safe
A place to hide
But a part of me
wants to break free
Yet I can't
Can't even taste
the sweet surrender
nor roam of freedom
The darkened corners
engulf me whole
These chains
they won't leave me now
and my life
fading out
He won't let go
He doesn't know
how I feel
what I won't show
And this grip
it isn't death defying
as he wants to believe
Instead it's what's killing me
I'm living by a dimmed sun
and a black moon
This grip has tightened
and he doesn't know
how to let me go.
