What is but my love for you,
So dear
And so sweet?
It is but a pallet of vibrant
Hues—of daffodils swaying
Gently
Under the setting sun’s
Star-specked pastels.
It is but the scent
Of soft linen fabric
Freshly tossed
In the laundry tumbler
And of sweet
Picked honeysuckle.
It is but the aching
Of my heart
When we part,
When soft goodbyes
Are exchanged by
Reluctant, longing lips.
It is but my heart soaring,
Our faces glowing,
Whenst we should meet again.

Old fashioned, but in a good way.
I like it very much. <3 - Report As Spam
