Merry-go-round twist you down, unto the earth for reprieve
Withholding desert angels billed for to never deceive
Shelter from erupting skies that would burn down our paradise
This protective shell is me, and it hears your cries
But the holy land is in this comprehending grasp
Devoid of fear never to dissolve our clasp
Rationing isn't amongst the worry stones that burden
No choking weight to strangle us, no poisoning warden
So let my dust clouds sprinkle amnesty in your wake
This gilded chain of love I'll never break

- Much better than VI especially with the imagery. It seems you've gotten over your distaste for flowy rhyme? ^_^ It has something most of your other poems don't. Amidst the pain and tears most of yours have, this one has hope which is a good step toward the maturity of your poems. ^_^

- For once, it's not the last line that's my favorite. It's the second to last. LOVE. IT.
