The heartbroken howl, can you hear it?
The wolf as she cries her lonely lament
Shrouded by moonlight, shunned by the day
Her path through the brush she must carve alone
No baying of kin to join in the song
Her loss is to be sung alone
Echoing to the hearts of all who will hear
Of loss in its purest form
Ghostly eyes, horizons they scan
Winters chill will soon take the heart
Alone, now forgotten, her song heard by none
Gusting snows conceal her form
To shadows edge, her path guided now
Solitude forever her bind
And the Lycan's lament now forever a chain
Proof of what will never be.
