Life is hard
Life is rough
Sometimes you start thinking
If you’re even good enough
When you get that feeling
And things aren’t going right
I’ll be there
Every day and night

Don’t give up
Don’t give in
Even if it looks like
You will never win
Every second of every day
I’ll be there in any way
If nothing else is enough
I’ll be there
Don’t give up

Many things can happen
In the world we live in now
Some are for the better
And others we can’t allow
But when you start to turn back
From this journey that you’re on
I’ll be there
To help you make it to the dawn

Even if it looks like

Quitting is not an option
It’s far too late for that
When there’s a fastball coming
You have to swing the bat
Not everything is right in the world

I enjoyed this poem. Especially the line, "When there’s a fastball coming, You have to swing the bat". Excellent metaphor!! biggrin
