Take back all the selfish words you said
The lies you scream
That tore the seam
Between the worlds we so love and dread

Scream it loud
For everyone to hear
The sobs you used to drown your fear
Why the hell shouldn’t you be proud?

And tell the truth
Of what you did
The things you hid
All the sins from your immortal youth

So tell me now
This one pitied phrase
That turned my mind into a maze
As you smiled and took your final bow

Was it true
When you cried to me
Those words three
I love you?
