• Silly girl that doesn't understand
    that life isn't a game
    That it isn't as easy as "one two three"
    And certainly not as tame

    She realized when she became a teen
    that life was no joy ride
    That's when all the thoughts began to arise
    All the thoughts of suicide

    She didn't want to go on anymore
    Though her whole life was ahead
    She didn't want to live anymore
    And every day she'd dread

    She didn't want a family
    She didn't want a job
    So she turned her head into the pillow
    and gently started to sob

    She met a boy that broke her heart
    and met another one
    She gave all the pieces of her heart
    until there were exactly none

    She cried a single dew drop
    A single golden tear
    And decided to hurt them all
    The ones that held her dear

    I didn't understand her
    As I silently stood back
    I wanted to help her so bad
    But she was ready to attack.

    And now as she's in the hospital
    She lets go of her mother's hand
    She regrets every minute
    That girl didn't understand.
