What would it be like to fall through those clouds?
And reach that year that has passed me by?
Like a bird whose wings broke mid-flight,
Would time stop if I fell through the sky?
Time continues to be my wings,
Flying me through my life,
Tattered and torn,
And airborne worn,
They continue through the strife,
Though birds we are we tend to seek,
The horizon that pierces the sky,
And through our life’s it will always be,
Until we birds must die,

Description:
This poem i wrote in sections, the first section was written about a year or two ago and I just recently finished it.
I have rewritten this poem a few times and I like the way it turned out here.
My best friend said it was depressing, but it wasnt supposed to be about depression. It was supposed to be about the dreams of man and the diligence we exert it our effort to fulfill our dreams.
We are doomed to die one day, but our dreams are what keeps us forever soaring towards that horizon. - Date: 02/11/2009
