Here comes my hand in grasp of a pen
Finding the right words to be written
It may be hard to start this poem of mine
But my thoughts will guide every single line.
What are these soothing my sad feeling?
Roses grown in the beauty of spring!
They came like something out of fantasy
'Cause a prince handed them over to me.
An affection as sweet as chocolate
That is how it was brought to us by fate
Every bead of his given rosary
Strengthens me in everyday's misery.
An artist's sketch and a poem so heartfelt
In a treasure chest will always be kept
And even if we will be miles apart
Memories will stay in each other's heart.
A guy as handsome as the autumn; that's him
Had picked up my broken pieces on a whim
I catch a glimpse of sunrise
When I look into his eyes.
Then came the moment we parted ways
Soon his footsteps were gone in the haze
It felt like a pail of tears burning my eyes
A thousand regrets coming into surface.
Spread your wings, my butterfly!
Soar high and reach for the sky!
Travel afar and show off your charms
For I know you'll be back in my arms.
And now that I'm down to the last part
These are the words frozen in my heart,
"You and I; we won't say goodbye
For our friendship will never die."

- Title: Summer Breeze
- Artist: Peachy Shyrl
- Description: This is my first non-blank verse poem and this one's dedicated to my friend, Champ. He spent his summer vacation here in Batangas. Even though he's the shy-type of guy, he found courage to give me three red roses while I was still admitted in the hospital. He didn't mind my father seeing his act and I was really surprised! Before he left, he entrusted his cousin a very long letter for me and even included one of his first made poems.
