With each section of it getting
Bigger
and
bigger
The amount of names grew
longer
and
longer
The Wall
that black long wall
Black symbolizing
the terrible color of
death
The color of the feelings
of each death of those men
Men of all kinds
Fathers
Sons
Brothers
Workers
and lovers
All of them died
Tracing my hand against the
wall
feeling the names
piercing on my
fingers
So many names
so
many
deaths
All of these men, died
so many of them
are dead
and yet
all we can do
is cry
at the
WALL

- Title: What a Wall
- Artist: KittyKattyKali
- Description: When I went to DC for a school Trip, we visited the Vietnam Memorial Wall. It blew me away how long it was, how many people died. I cried the entire time, It inspired me so much I wrote this poem on the bus on the way back to the Hotel. I really hope you understand it, and enjoy it of course!
