Absent calls
Lonely falls
(Summer, Winter, Spring)
Plastered smiles and manufactered cards.
Stick a signature
Personalization optional
And it just strikes me how off-white you are in the snow
A beacon
You should know how this feels, you of all people should know
At least, I think so
Thoughts are gone forever, deleted
Viewed for a brief moment by everyone else
And then vanished
Fading away
And sometimes I just wish you could take the time to know me
Like you used to
And sometimes I wish you were just gone
But you are
At least now I know you're still alive
You've been gone so long I wasn't sure
I'm still not sure...

- Wow, sorry for being like a year and a half late, but Gaia just suggested this poem to me and I like it. :] The first three lines have a rhyming and rhythm pattern that I really liked, and at first I was a little disappointed that it didn't continue through the whole piece. But I suppose I'm not one to talk about not using free verse. d: Very good.

- Hmm... I don't think that I like the first two rhyming lines, but I am not sure why. I like how you bring this elemnt of fakeness, and that even though personalization is optional, it isn't really that personalized. I think this really adds to the element of fakeness (and even unsurprising abandonment) of the person being addressed in the poem. I like it and I think this poem did an awesome job portraying that,
