• "what are you doing Lilah?"
Delilah Mae Jennings looked at the old lady sitting behind the desk. Delilah just sat and stared at her for a while, she didn't want to answer, and by the looks of it, the manager of her mom's Hotel didn't expect her to give an answer.
The people who worked here knew her quite well. Her mother had been working at the 'Sunny Beach Inn' Hotel for about three years. Delilah often had to stay there while her mother worked on the weekends.Unless, ofcourse her Grandparents wanted her for the weekend. For Delilah,It was kind of Boring staying while her mom was working. She'd have to sit in the Lobby for hours until her mother either got a lunch break, or was finally getting off.Despite the amount of bore she would expirience, Dlilah never really replied when the other workers talked to her.But today was a bit different. Her mother was working night shift, and it was now 10:00 at night, she was not only bored, but also tired. So, Delilah decided to talk. "Nothong..." she said looking at her tennishoes. "I'm going to go to the bathroom." Delilah walked out of the Lobby, turned infront of the desk, and walked down a small hall. When she got into the bathroom, she stood infront of the mirror. She splashed her face with cold water, hoping that might keep her awake for awhile, and looked at herself. She was a pretty girl, Jet black hair, and Emerald green eyes, she had rather pale skin, wich made her eyes kind of "pop" she was a thin girl for her age of 13, and thought nothing of it. Delilah never really thought of herself as 'mature' or 'Pretty' Even though everyone always tried to convince her of it. It wasn;t that she thought she was ugly, she just valued the lives of others more than her own.Come to think of it Delilah never really thought of herself at all.She was always busy helping her mother out with house work, and tending to the animals. She never really had the chance to ACTUALLY be a teenager. When she was five, her mother and father divorced, you could say she was 'forced' to 'grow up'.
Delilah walked out of the bathroom, and into the Lobby, where she found her mother waiting with the car keys in her hand. " come on Delilah lets go home." She said.
