Wish upon a satellite (pretend that it's a star),
Wish for someplace make-believe, wish for somewhere far.

I tried to see some fairies in the field the other day,
But all I found were biting-bugs, so I went on my way.

The unicorns behind the house all used to dance and sing,
But now they've turned to horses, and they won't say anything.

Listen at the gutter-hole, is that a mermaid crying?
If we brought down all the airplanes, would we see a dragon flying?

Wasn't there some magic once? Or is it that we are
Doomed to wish upon a satellite, and wish it were a star?
