Though the rain was falling,
...So gently...
They kept dancing,
...So swiftly...
Masquerading hearts spinning 'round,
...So elegantly...
And they fall so hard.
Though he would never return,
...So slowly...
She waited in the garden,
...So patiently...
Though her heart was breaking,
...So painfully...
'Till she was frozen by time,
...So spitefully...
And they fall once again.
Though the rust was corroding,
...So brokenly...
They danced in circles,
...So haltingly...
The music guiding them,
...So quietly...
And they slowed down,
...So falteringly...
Then stopped.
...So suddenly...
And they fall no more.
