Forget

• Description: This poem is based on a true event. On Wednesday, October, 29, 2008 I called my mom told her the truth about everthing, starting when I was six. That was seven years ago but I have a mind that never forgets. My own mother has called me shallow, self centered, slut, c**t, hoe, and probably all of the other names in the book.
  I will never forgive her for letting me slip away from her.

Today I did something
I'll never forget
I called my mom
And told her to leave
The one she loves most
And it wasn't me
He has left bruises and bumps
Though not on me
But my brother and mom
Some I've never seen
She has lost her first
Now this is her last
Moment to prove
She can do better then that
I cried for hours
Confused and hurt
You gave me the freedom
You tried being my friend
But that's not what I need
I need a mom
To stand by my side
Hold me when I cry
And yell at all those stare at me guys
Today I did something
I cannot forget
I went on with my life
Nothing else said
