• You were always someone I could
    Lean on
    Depend on
    Count on
    You were my rock
    So strong
    Holding me up
    I stood on you
    My rock
    Always so
    Sturdy
    You held me
    Above the waves
    Until one day
    My rock crumbled
    Falling from my feet
    You are
    Cracking and
    Shaking
    I am
    Crying
    Flailing
    Falling
    Searching
    For another rock
You were but the one rock
In the middle of the sea
    A refuge for me
    But now you crumble
    Fall to pieces
    Sink below me
    I loose my balance
    Feel the waves
    Rushing in around me
    Now somehow more fierce
    Since my rock is gone
    I try to swim
    But the current roars
    Sending me down
    Down
    Down
    Into the dark
    Gasping for air
    Waving my arms
    The ache in my chest
    Is unbearable
    I thrust my mouth open
Can't take the strain any longer
    And cold overwhelms my body
    As I slowly
    Drown
My last thought is of my
    Rock
    Hoping somebody will
    Pick up the pieces
