So many ways to describe thee
That has placed itself inside me.
Your skin fine as porcelain
That right there ill say it again.
Your lips like roses in the rain
When I’m not with you I feel a great pain.
Your hair so smooth and it shines in the light
When I hear you laugh it makes me take flight
I’ll protect you day and night.
Through snow,sun,rain,and wind.
You’ve always had my heart pinned
Your voice is soothing and fine.
I ask you one thing
If I could stay yours and if you could stay mine?

- I simply adore the idea of this. Love poems get loooots of points in my book. But I'm going to say to you what I say to several poets on the arenas. The rhymes are holding you back. Poetry doesn't have to rhyme, it just has to keep the beat. Try writing your next poem without making it rhyme. It makes it SO much better.
