I am the Widemouth Blindcat,
An aquatic resider;
As a predator become I fat,
My skin has not color;
A Toothless Blindcat am I,

On larvae and snails do I feed;

Untame rice of Texas,
In constant degree do I stay;
Amidst the head of San Marcos,
An aquatic grass, I shall play
