I remember when you'd hold me tight.
When you'd kiss me deep beneath the light.
I am I and you were you.
Ha. Too good to be true.
I've always known, yet you'd remind me:
Nothing Lasts Forever.
Yet you said, "We'll always be together."
I always knew it but I didn't care.
After all, careless love is ever so fair.
I am I and you were you.
What happened to you?
Now I remember,
That terrible December.
I was I, but you, weren't you.
I had to meet you anew
But it wasn't the you i knew.
You changed into a different view.
Your eyes fell off the prize.
Sadness became my demise.
Justice, became yours.
I've always known, yet you'd remind me:
Nothing Lasts Forever.
Yet in our case, dear friend, it is:
No one Lasts Forever.
Nothing and Nobody Lasts Forever.
To my dear friend, I miss you.

- Title: Nothing Lasts Forever
- Artist: thebluegenie105
- Description: I know this is an extremely common poem title. But I assure you, this poem has a slight catch, and is just a little different from those common break up poems. Read to find out =) Mostly a true story.
