“Be Mine”
You make my heart pound out of control;
A burning love that I feel in my soul.
Upon you my eyes do gaze.
“Oh! The dreams that I had for many days!”
Why can’t I say this to you?
I want my arms to embrace,
To pull us closer, face to face.
The touch of thy lips, the taste of your kiss.
You fill my fantasies with bliss.
Why can’t I make it come true?
At this place, we are alone.
At this time, I ask “Be my own.”
My heart stops, my knees grow weak.
My eyes widen, my hands grow meek.
I wait for your answer to speak.
- Title: Be Mine
- Artist: Naru Azul
- Description: This was an project I did back in the 12th grade english class. This project was based on the Shakespeare's sonnet poems that we read in class and of course, I got an 100 right of the bat. She loved it and said it was very thoughtful and lovely poem. The way I base the poem on was for anyone that had an crush on a certain someone they liked every much but was to afriad to speak. Until that person had enough courage to confront them and say their love as they await the answer.
