The soap is not astray today
The iron cold bar sits quite still
The flower pots are not a mess today
Surely my darling has not been here
I taste the salty distress reluctantly
My bitterness is my own
My lustrous jewel has gone blunt
My moodiness is no secret
My humanity has never been more obvious than now
Departure is common and the world stops for no man
The world has stopped turning here
The little furry love we had
Nothing has ever been so dear
Your fuzzy memory I shall carry in my pocket
Close to my beating heart
My darling, you are forever remembered
The bathroom seems darker today
I see no happiness here
The soap is not astray

- Title: The Soap is Not Astray
- Artist: Dot The Magical Ladybug
- Description: I wrote this for my mom when her pet ferret died. Her name was Lacy and my mom loved the little rodent to death, so it was very, very sad when she died. She got into the dishwasher... And, well, that's about it. Enjoy!
