I was right, it was what I had thought it was, the Plouya! Xiaon stared at it in disbelief, unmoving.
(Damn! Now what are we supposed to do??) I thought to myself. (There’s no way we could kill a Plouya!) I yelled in my head. I was terrified, frozen in fear, I couldn’t move. I was able to move enough to look beside me, I could see that Xiaon was frozen in fear as well. I had read about them, of their’ awesome might, they could tear down stone walls with ease. I also knew what else they were capable of. Far too much for us to handle! There was nothing we could do, we were going to die. How much would it hurt to die? I wondered. Would it be painful, or would it be painless, from the shock? I hoped it wouldn’t hurt much, I could face death, but pain, no. I closed my eyes, waiting for death. But the Plouya stood, standing still, unmoving, watching us. I wondered why it just stood there, staring. What is it waiting for?? Then all of a sudden, I heard a scream, terrible, dreadful scream it was. I opened my eyes, Xiaon was gone, and so was the Plouya. The ground soaked with blood, I was guessing the Plouya had killed Xiaon. I dropped to my knees, I noticed, my clothes soaked Xiaon’s blood. I would have to continue back to the village, alone. I just hoped I could find the village. Damn it’s all my fault he’s dead! If only I could’ve remembered the way to the village! But, I couldn’t, no use and worrying about the past, I must hurry and get to the village!
Eventually I found the way out of that dreadful place, and made it to the village.
Of course, the first place I ran to was the Queens’ Castle. I had to make sure she was alright. But I was too late! I ran into the Castle, worrying, I couldn’t find her! She wasn’t in her bedroom, nor was she in the Throne Room. She was no where to be found! Damn, I took too long to get back! Now all hope was lost! Without the Queen’s magic power Eckereshal would never be defeated! Then the land will be covered in darkness, forever. She must’ve been captured, while we were lost in that dreadful forest!
If anyone had captured her, it would’ve been Eckereshal. I had to go back to that terrible place, and rescue her! But how, by myself? No, I would need help with rescuing her. I would ask for aid, from some of the other elves. But who would be brave enough to go into that evil castle? Just then I heard the door behind me open, slowly, as if someone was having trouble opening the huge door. Someone appeared in the door way. It was Rens, the potion maker from the village. She looked as though she would pass out any moment, as if she had gotten into a battle, or something of the sort. I ran to her, and helped her to sit down. “Rens, what happened??” I asked her. “It- it was terrible, the black guards came.” She said. “What??” I stammered. “Th-they came to take the Queen, I- I tried to help stop them, but there was nothing I could do. I-I’m sorry.” She stuttered. “Damn! I knew something like this would happen! If only I hadn’t taken so long to get back!!” I cursed at myself. “Saiya, there was nothing that could be done.” She said to me. “Well, I have to go back and rescue her.” I sighed. “I just hope I make it back there in time, before something else happens to the Queen.” “Saiya, take me with you!” Rens said to me.
“I….Alright Rens, I’ll take you with me, but you must promise not to put yourself in dangers’ path.” I told her.. “Okay, I won’t I promise!” She smiled at me.
So we started back toward the Dark Castle, to save the Queen. Once again I managed to get us lost in the forest. “Ohhhhh, we’re lost!!” Rens was said, worrying. “No, I know it’s somewhere around here.” I assured her.. “Mm, I hope you’re right. I just hate this horrible place!” She said as she looked around.
After awhile of wandering around, we were finally able to find the path that leaded out of the forest.
“Woo! We’re out!” Rens yelled as we left the forest.. “Shh…. Rens, quiet.” I whispered to her. “Look, see there, the Dark Castle.” I whispered to her, pointing into the distance. Now I just had to find a way to get into the castle without the guards taking notice. I reached into my pocket, ah the key, it was still there. I could use it to open the gate once again. So we quietly approached the gate, I started opening it slowly. Then Rens and I slipped though the gate, without the guards noticing. We walked past the guards who where near the entrance, asleep on the job. Now we just had to find out where the Queen was being kept. The dungeon where Xiaon and I where being held, that was the first place I could think of. So being as quiet as we possibly could, Rens and I ran down the long staircase. I heard a noise coming from one of the far cells. I held my breath, straining to hear what it was. I only heard it once, and I wasn’t sure what it was. Rens, being the girl she is, was scared of what it might be. “S-Saiya , wh-what was that?” she stuttered. “I’m not sure.” I, myself, was wondering what it might have been as well. We decided to go toward the noise we had heard, hoping it wasn’t anything that might harm us.
Finally reaching the cell we had heard the noise from, I reached in my pocket and pulled out the key I had taken earlier. I put the key in the door, hoping it was the one that would open it. It was! So I opened the door, quietly, so no one would hear. Once I opened the door, I was surprised at what I saw.
