In Psychology 11, we were suppose to review for our test the following Monday - but really, who does that? So during that time, there was no better time to just sit back, relax, and talk to our friends! Moreover, this conversations was one of the funniest I had in long time!
My very intelligent friend named Kai Di was talking to our other friend named Angel, and I. She works in an insurance company with our other, other friend named Carol. The insurance company she works in sells a variety of insurances that includes car insurance, house insurance and et cetera.
So, my friend Kai Di was telling Angel and I how Carol and herself were working with car insurances. (And in the area where I live, license plates are like the following example: 123 ABC) And to make their jobs more efficient, one would read the license plate number and the other would type it into the computer. In addition, to make the pronunciation of the letters clear, they use "military alphabets" such as A for Alpha, B for Beta, C for Charlie and et cetera.
As the story was told, Carol was reading out license plate numbers while Kai Di was typing in the numbers. Kai Di had already remembered all the "military alphabets" while Carol still lacked some knowledge of it. And because of this reason, she was stuck on one of them.
Carol: "H.. M.. T.."
Kai Di: "Pardon..?"
Carol was evidently trying to recall the letters as she attempted,
Carol: "Hot.. Mother.. Teresa..?"
Once Kai Di finished retelling her story, Angel and I began to burst out laughing. It was a priceless moment. But that wasn't even the end of it. Angel's Psychology 11 textbook was open as she stopped for a moment.
Angel: "Eh.. Isn't this her..?"
She pointed carefully as Kai Di and I paused, and continued our laughter. Almost ironically, Mother Teresa's photo was indeed in the textbook and we laughed at how the page was opened right on her photo as Kai Di had told the story.
Me: So Kai Di, what is suppose to be HMT then?
Kai Di: Hotel Mother Tango. (:
