• Vanessa stood by the window, gazing down at the people who walked the sidewalks. The door opens up to her room, it was Harry with a hot cup of coffee in hand, "I made you some coffee", his voice was low, soft, and caring, "thanks but I'm fine Harry", she turns to face him, it was the least she could do, "so I assume you're in here to try to sway me into going back to school, huh", Harry shook his head, "no it's not that, when you're ready you can continue school but I just wanted to talk to you about your powers", Vanessa cringed at the thought and the memory of getting them stolen from her, "I don't want to talk about it Harry", she told him in all seriousness she didn't want to bring this whole power loss to the surface anymore but with every chance Harry got he would bring it up, "I know but getting depressed over it wont help you at all, you're going to have to- -!!", Vanessa clenched her fists tightly making him hold his tongue, even with out her powers she was still scary when upset, "okay fine, fine", he placed the hot coffee on a near by table, "I'm about to leave if you need anything you can reach me with this number", he placed the paper next to the cup of coffee and left the room while she watched him leave and where she slid down the wall to cry.

    It was snowing the next day, so school was canceled due to the heavy amount of it. Harry invited Peter and Mary Jane over for movie night he did want her to come out but facing Peter and the wrest of the world was hard enough and it placed a great amount of stress upon her, so she slept until mid-night arrived, "Vanessa wake up!", she was shaken awake by Alif who was greeted with a pillow to the face, "what!", she yelled, "you've been locked up in your room all week you need to come back to school and back into Midgardian society", she groans in protest, "just go away Alif I don't want- - wah!!", she was then taken by surprise when Baldr grabbed her by the legs and dragged her out of bed until she hit the ground with a thud, "uuhhggg! You a*****e!! That hurt!", she gets up clearly heated from what just happened, "well how else were we supposed to get you out of bed", Alif says with a grin but she didn't find it amusing in the least, "you're not going to just stay in bed like a perpetual mope Vanessa", Alif threw her some clothes, "now bathe yourself and get dressed", his caring tone changed dramatically to a more serious tone of voice causing her to frown, "get out of my room, both of you", she demanded, "NOW!

    Baldr and Alif vacated her room and head into the living room where they met with Harry who only sighed, "So did you get through to her?", he asked the two who shrug, "give it a few minutes, she'll come around", Harry heaved a big sigh, "I'm so glad you two came, I didn't know when she'd come around again", he was glad, "and maybe when she's all better... maybe I could ask her out", he blushes a bright red, "ask who out?", Vanessa said as she walks over towards them obviously irritated, Harry's face grew much more brighter with embarrassment, "n-no one!", he responds back, "can we just go now", all three boys nod their heads and continue to the door.

    "So this is why you coaxed me out of bed", she wasn't in the best of moods and to make things even worse the team was there, Ava, Sam, Peter, Luke, and Danny were there and they weren't happy to see her at all, "hey guys, its been a while", Harry tried to lighten the mood but the mood wasn't going to change, "criminal", Ava said before taking a drink of her coffee, she didn't even try to make eye contact, Vanessa turns around, "take me home, I don't need this", Peter slammed his hand on the table, "I can't believe you! You helped one of the top criminals escape prison! Do you even have anything to say for yourself??", Peter says clearly upset with her along with everyone else. For the longest she didn't respond to him until she turned her head a bit to face them, "No I have nothing to say", was all that she said it was enough to cause Peter to curse under his breath in anger, "I hope you never get your powers back", Vanessa was about to walk out of the Cafe but hearing him say that made her upset but Alif spoke up for her, "you should choose your words more carefully Peter, you might just regret it", Alif says, "you both may have joined S.H.I.E.L.D but that doesn't change the fact that you two broke her out as well", Ava said, "I don't know why you came it doesn't really solve anything, " Luke told them, "I don't even know why we even came to be honest", he finished...

    Vanessa sat on her bed while looking at the palms of her hands, ' I hope you never get your powers back ', it lingered in her head until she sighed, "what if I never get them back...".
