• There was once a father who really loves his son. Even though his wife already left him, he still managed to keep his hopes up. He always works hard for the sake of his son, but still, there wasn’t enough money for their needs. So, in order to give his son’s needs, he managed not to buy things just for himself, like clothes, shoes, etc. He’s really a selfless father.
    All was well until the time he found out that his son was already close to death. His son had an abnormality in his heart. There’s a tumor. The doctor said that there’s no way he could cure his son. When the father heard this, it felt like all of his hopes and dreams were torn apart. He fell down and wept. Even though he would give all his money, it will be just wasted. It’s impossible for his son to live. As his son was sleeping in the hospital, he silently walked towards him. He whispered with a tear in his eyes, “My son, I love you so much. I am going to do anything at all cost a way to cure you.” He left his son with a kiss. Then, he went to the doctor.
    With a soft saddened voice, the doctor said, “Mister, I know what you feel. I also pity your son. If only I can find a way to cure him.” Then, just a moment after he said that, there’s a mysterious guy who quickly ran towards him. He whispered something to him. “If that’s the only choice, we have to do it,” the doctor said to the guy. Then, the guy left.
    The father asked if he already found a solution. The doctor nodded, but with a saddened look. He told him, “This is the only choice. If you are willing-” but before he could finish, the father interrupted him and said, “I’m willing! I will do anything for my son at all cost!”
    The day after, the father went to his son and talked to him, “My son, I love you.” The son said the same thing. “Dad, if my health will go back to normal, let’s have some time together. Let’s have some fun.” While the son was saying this, the father’s eyes were filled with tears. “My son, I’m sure that your health will go back to normal. “ The father embraced his son.
    Finally, the time for the surgery came. The father reassured his son that he will be safe. The son trusted his father. During the operation, everything was well and successful.
    After the surgery, when the time the son already woke up, he noticed that his father was not there with him. So, he asked the doctor where his father had gone. The doctor kept silent.
    “Why won’t you answer me? Where’s my dad?” Then, the doctor said, “I’m so sorry. I can’t answer your question. I am not the one to tell you about him. Well, he left you a letter.” He pulled out a piece of paper in his pocket and reached it to the son and said, “Here, read it. You’ll know.”
    The son opened the letter and read it. When he finished reading it, he touched his chest and felt the beat of his heart and he cried so hard. So, this is what the father wrote to his son:

    “My son, I love you. I know you know that. Thank you for loving me as your father. Thank you because you never became ashamed that I’m your father. My son, I’m so sorry if I can’t be with you after you get well. This is the only choice I can make to save you. I know that you will look for me when you finally wake up. I’m so sorry if I’m not by your side now and on the days to come. I’m so sorry if I cannot see you grow up and become a man. I’m sorry if I’m not with you when your wedding day has finally come. I’m sorry if I can’t see you have your children. Please forgive me. Right now, I want you to touch your chest, my son. Can you feel the heartbeat? I’m glad that you can feel my heartbeat. The doctor said that the only thing to do is by heart transplant. So, I didn’t hesitate even a little to give you mine. I was desperate. I love you so much that I can give all my life just for you. I hope you understand. This is the best I can give. You’re the most precious treasure to me and I’m willing to pay the price just for you. My son, always take good care of yourself. Don’t worry, I’m always by your side even in after life. This is how I’m going to end my letter to you, my son. Always remember that I love you so much.
