"No... No, please hang on!" Victoria cried out. Around them was the massive room, once filled with beautiful furniture now sat in disarray and chaos. Blood splatters caked the walls and the floorboards, black and white feathers from wings fluttered about the young woman as she held the bleeding man close to her heart. The moonlight was quickly fading, and Victoria was trying to wake the man up. He quietly groaned, reaching a hand up and placing it on the left side of her cheek. "Victoria." His Hungarian voice whispered, strained and so weak. Victoria felt helpless as she looked to her beloved.
He was tattered, his shirt was torn and soaked with deep wounds across his chest, a massive dagger piercing his heart. Blood trickled down from the side of his purple lips, his crystal blue eyes looked up to her and had lost the light that she had fallen in love with. His long, black hair was matted, the black wings on his back were ripped and torn to shreds. She sat much less injured, her white wings still moved strong behind her, yet bloodied from the piercing he received. Her dress was torn into several places, only scars remained where she had been stabbed. "Gyula, my darling no..." Victoria could think of no way to help him. She began to tear into her wrist to give him her blood, but Gyula removed his hand from her cheek and grasped her wrist.
"No, Victoria." He whispered. Now dawn approached, the faint light of dawn behind them caused her to panic. "This is for the best." Gyula whispered, coughing slightly. Victoria felt tears well into her pink eyes as she sobbed out. "No, Gyula! I beg of you, let me help!" Victoria was sobbing at this point, her best was not enough to help save her love. "Don't leave me here by myself..." Victoria begged.
Gyula only laughed. "It's only... for a little while, right?" He asked gently. His grip began to weaken, and he leaned up to kiss her once more. "Goodbye... my darling." Gyula whispered. His hand slipped from her wrist and he fell heavy into her arms. Victoria's eyes widened in horror, shaking him as her head lowered. "Gyula?! Gyula, NO!" Victoria screamed out to the corpse. The dawn began to seep through the holes of the manor, and his body turned to ash in her arms, before a cool wind blew him away from her.
Victoria stood, cold in the warmth of the dawn. Her massive white wings opened around her, and with her head lowered she growled and took off into the morning, to hide herself from the world.
- Title: To lose her loved one.
- Artist: Letharya
- Description: This is sort my way with dealing with a personal situation. It ended horribly, let's just say. This is part of a story I have been writing about my original character, Lady Victoria Dark. I am at this point that she loses her mate, the Marquis Gyula Aladric. Both characters are Vampires, Lady Victoria Dark was an 'experiment' and can sustain life with one downfall- a broken heart or injection can kill her.
