Fear
- a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger,
evil, pain, etc., whether the threat is real or imagined; the feeling
or condition of being afraid.
---
A pair of eyes watches him him, peers into his soul - they see all of
him, sees every single piece that makes up the complex puzzle that is
a human soul.
These inhuman eyes that watches him everywhere he goes, follows him
every hour of everyday, and have been doing so for the last couple of
years.
They are the only thing which scares him - for everything else,
murderers, hights, water, spiders, dogs, all of mankinds common fears,
they seems so petty, so ignificant in comparison.
And so, as every day when he is outside and feels those eyes watching
him, he starts to run.
Faster and faster he runs, for he doesn't know what the thing which
stalks him wants - and he fears for his life.
His fear has grown to inhuman hights; as he runs it is all he feels
until it devours him.
As the fear eats his very soul alive, he sees himself, three years
younger walking out of his house - and he sees that soul so untouched
by anything more than simple petty fears - so untouched by the true
overpowering fear that consumed him.
He hungers for it.
