The small, furry, orange mammal grunted in frustration. He squinted his usually large eyes into tiny slits and tried to avoid closing them completley. His eyes burned and eventually began to water.
'Look at 'im, thinks he's sooo slick! Orange Lightening'll show 'im who's boss!' The small ottsel thought in utter concentration. His tail swished about while he was heavy in focus.
Soulful blue orbs bore into tiny green irises. The green-blonde rested his chin in his left palm and smirked at his counterpart.
"Looks like I'm gonna win." Jak drawled cooly.
"S-so NOT!" Daxter shot back, his gloved paws clenching and unclenching. He unknowingly pulled tufts of fur from his sides.
Then his eyes fluttered shut for a moment.
"Gah!" Daxter stumbled off the table he'd been standing on in his sudden defeat and landed on the seats of the booth with an 'oof'.
Jak burst out into an uproar of laughter, when he caught his breath he briefly stood and leaned over the table to retrieve his best friend. Picking the ottsel up gingerly, by the scruff of his neck, he turned a rather disgruntled Daxter to face him.
"Oh. Ha Haaa. Laugh it up, hero-boy. 'Sides...ya cheated anyways. Ya kept lookin' at me with yer big ol' eyes," Daxter complained.
Jak flashed a genuine smile that stayed on his face, for once, and set his friend down gently and started petting him. He scratched his ears and rubbed from the nape of his neck and ended by smoothing his tail out.
"Ah. Jaaaak." Daxter purred, knowing that Jak had won and this was the only way, besides booze, to shut him up.

- Title: Got a Staring Problem, buddy?
- Artist: Gravi Bunni
- Description: Jak and Daxter have a seriously retarded and very short lived staring contest. I love this game. Theyre just too freakin adorable. Yay, platform games. I do not own J&D, Naughty Dog does. Daxter is an ottsel, FYI. Thats why he gets petted.
