the rain lightly pounds against the thin glass window
in the darkness, i lay in my cold bed.
my thoughts cannot escape the darkness where my soul
lives without living.
my heart slows to almost a point of death.
my breath is cold as ice.
my eyes open, and the darkness floods into my mind and heart.
the cold enters my body and completely stops my freezing heart
my soul is released and fills the black, cold, and empty room.
my body melts into pure darkness.
and my soul is shattered by the freezing rain of dispair....
