I awoke to the smell of smoke and a gentle rocking beneath me... I peered out from under my covers- it was weird, they were brown instead of red, like they were supposed to be- and saw my bedroom, except there was no furniture. I looked out the windows and saw a moving landscape before me. How could this be...? I thought, confused. The bronzed door at the end of my room opened as a girl with a maid uniform came in. She dropped the platter with assorted cleaning supplies on it when she saw me.
"How did you get here?!" she exclaimed, flabbergasted at the sight of me.
I fumbled with my fingers, looking for the right words. I was still a bit distraught from waking up in this strange place.
"I honestly don't know, I just woke up here! Where am I?"
"You're on the great Zendion Trainway! The most popular magical trainway in the west of 105? And how could you not know how you got here, do you have amnesia? This room was reserved for the president of Faredom! You have to have a special passcard just to get in here!"
As I heard the maid yell at me about how I wasn't supposed to be where I was, I glanced out the window one more time. Before, it looked like I was on the ground, but now, it looked like wherever I was, it was floating... I ruffled my black hair, looking back at the maid. My pajamas felt strangely warm, I looked at them and found out I was wearing light brown plaid flannel pants and a very thin light brown wool top.
I heard a loud yell saying, "Intruder on the train! Get security, there's an intruder in the president's suite!" It was coming from the maid.
Two men dressed in old-fashioned tuxedos came into the room with colt revolvers. They pointed them at me, and I put my left arm in front of my eyes and my right arm pointing at them with my fingers facing up, and I heard a loud yelp. I uncovered my eyes and saw that the two guards were on fire, and the maid was screaming. Quickly, I ran past them and out the door, but when I took a step, I fell for what seemed like forever. It was really only two seconds or so. Fortunately, I had grabbed the part of the train connecting the two cars of the train. I mustered as much strength as I could and pulled myself up and ran into the car next to the one I was just in. It was a grand dining hall, but I barely had time to examine my surroundings before I was being yelled at by more bodyguards that starting chasing after me. I ran out of the door at the other end of the car, careful not to slip this time, and entered the one after it. There were a couple of doors to other passengers' rooms. I found one that was unlocked and opened it, glad to find that it was vacant. I shut the door as fast as I could, hoping none of the bodyguards saw me, and hid under the bed. There were the sounds of footsteps passing for about five minutes, even though it seemed like another eternity. After they stopped, I overheard two guards conversing with each other that were passing by my room.
"I guess he slipped out of the train."
"Yeah, there's no way he could survive a fall that high!"
"He's food for the vultures now," the first one said, and they both started laughing.
As soon as I was certain they were gone, I got out from under the bed and looked around the room. I saw an open closet with some old western-looking clothes in it, and put an outfit on. I looked in a mirror in the room, and I looked ridiculous. The clothes did not match my hair, probably because there were no long-haired boys with red and black hair in the old west. And why was this train flying? That, I couldn't understand.
I heard a statement announced over the intercom- it's weird, I thought there were no intercoms in the wild west. Well, if a train can fly, there can be intercoms, I guess, I thought- and it said, "Attention passengers. We are now arriving at Central Faredom Station. Please sit down somewhere stable and gather your things for exiting. Thank you for choosing Zendion, and have a nice day!" The voice sounded like a female around twenty four or so, kind of like a flight attendant. I decided to leave the train and figure out where I was. I knew wherever I was, it wasn’t Earth.

Description:
My first Gaia writing piece. It will end up being a chapter book if all goes well *crosses fingers*! Sorry if it sucks, I'm wingin' it while I'm writing it. I also have the grammar skills of a 13 year old, even though my spelling and vocabulary skills are those of a sage. Hope you like it either way!
*Fix #5 was for a little first/third person mishap. But, yet again, no one has viewed this so WHO CARES! [[parties]] - Date: 07/28/2010

Haha good! You did a good job with starting out somewhere that instantly makes the reader crave to read what happens next. Your spelling is next to perfect (or perhaps even perfect for that matter), and your vocabulary seems fairly vast. Your grammar skills aren't all that bad really. But those don't matter as much. That's why we have editors haha xD
Good Job!! I really want to see what comes next, but put more in the next chapter ^^, - Report As Spam
