Growing Up Late (Chapter One)
-
A breeze floated by causing the girl to shiver ever so slightly. She looked around her, hoping that maybe, just maybe, she would find who she had been looking for. She had no such luck. Tears began to wheal up in her eyes. She had really lost him this time, and as far as she could tell, there was no hope of getting him back. She collapsed onto a bench, warm tears slowly rolling down her pale face. She picked up her phone and dialed a number, trying to dry her tears.
"Hello?"
"Ajacklyn, he's gone."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not always this pathetic, really. I'm usually really strong and able to handle guys leaving but...This one struck me really hard. I loved him with all my heart. I did my best not to hurt him. I smiled, never yelled, I even stopped one of my habits to keep him. He just left. No reason, no note, nothing. He just left me waiting, right when I needed him the most.
I got a cold that night. I should have thought and put a sweater on rather than just run off. I still don't where he went. I skipped school too, not like we were really doing anything important anyway.I think it was about ten in the morning when I heard Ajacklyn knocking on the door and yelling for me. She must have gotten worried.
It was a Sunday when I finally noticed that no matter how hard it would be, I needed to get over him. So I did something I thought I would never do.
I went to church.
It really wasn't as bad as I had thought it would be. I sat it one of the back pews and listened to the preacher. The choir was strong and spirited. It made me think about myself. I was happy with me but there were so many things wrong with me. I wasn't what he had wanted all this time. I was far far off.
I left quietly and sat in the park. It was the same place as before. I stared up and the dark gray sky. My eyes filled with tears. Why did you do this to me? Why? I had become a lost little girl trying to find her way back home. I didn't like this feeling at all.
I picked up my cell phone and called Ajacklyn.
"Hey, Jakkie. I'm going to study abroad."
"Whar'," Came the puzzled response of the sleepy girl.
"Tokyo..."
"Eh?! Ya' mean Tokyo, Yapan'?!"
"Yeah. I was recently offered a scholarship there so I'm going. I'll e-mail you when I get there."
"'Kay. 'Fore ya' go, why 're leavein'?"
"...I'm getting him away from my mind. See ya."
"Mmm. Bye."
All that I heard after was some static and dial tone. Away to Japan I go.

Description:
This is the start of a story I came up with a while ago and just started. The main girl is a representation of me, Terri. Ajacklyn represents my sister, Gwenie. Later on, Midori is the representation of Pagierin. The bot who left really isn't anybody, just a huge plot device.
