(Chapter 2: The Interview of the Scarred)
tab After interviewing Mr. Wachigo, Matt and I decided to inspect the crime scene. We headed to the cave which Mr. Wachigo had gladly told us where it was.
tab Inside the caver were numerous test tubes, all filled with different colored substances, most of which were liquid. Near the test tubes were medical needles filled with the substances that were contained inside the tubes. One needle, which I paid attention to the most, was filled with a red liquid. I picked it up and examined it thoroughly. With it on my hand, I shook it gently, took my magnifying glass, and held it between the needle and me. After a couple of minutes and discovering that it was actually blood, I called for Matt, but he was no where to be found.
tab “Matt? Hey, Matt, where are you?” I yelled for him. I placed the needle back down and headed towards the exit of the cave. There, on the floor outside, Matt was lying down, unconscious. Immediately, I called a 911 from my cell phone.

tab After hours of waiting in the hospital, Matt finally awoke. “What happened?” he asked me.
tab “I found you outside of the cave, unconscious. What happened to you? Do you remember anything?” I asked him to see whether or not he was attacked, or he fainted because of something I didn’t know about.
tab “I… I can’t remember… Just give me a few minutes…”
tab I let him do as he pleased, walked out of the room, and sat down on a nearby white chair that stood nearby his hospital room. Meanwhile, I was pondering about the needles that I found in the cave. The needles are, of course, used for injection purposes. The others were filled with the substances that were inside the test tubes… And that “dog” that Mr. Wachigo described… I suppose that whatever those substances were composed of, their results were meant to be something deadly and viciously biological. tab “Xion!” Matt yelled for me. His voice seemed as if he was deeply troubled. In a hurry, I accidentally collided with a bystander who was covered in a long brown leather jacket and a brown hat that covered most of his face because he faced mostly downwards.
tab “Sorry, I’m in a hurry!” I explained to him. The mysterious man did not turn around nor did he say anything. He continued to walk without whispering a single word under his breath, but he did move his right hand around his jacket pocket. With no time to think about the man’s action, I entered the room where Matt had stayed. “What’s wrong? Why did you call me?”
tab Matt’s eyes were filled with disturbance. “That man! That man in the brown jacket! I remember it! He’s the one who caused my injury while I was investigating a blood stain.”
tab Immediately, I stood up and ran outside the door. I continued sprinting to catch up to the man that I saw before, but he was never to be found. With disappointment, I walked back inside Matt’s room and asked what happened to him, “What happened?!”
tab “The man that went by,” he replied while stuttering, “ he placed something that looked like a letter on that table,” said Matt as he pointed towards a nearby metal table.
tab I walked to it, and, like he said, a piece of paper was on top of it. I opened it and read aloud, “You will never discover the meaning of my creation!”
tab “I saw the man place that there,” Matt said after I finished reading aloud.
tab “Alright, stay there for the night. I’ll examine this.” I placed the letter in a plastic bag, and, before I left the room, I called hospital security to request a bodyguard for Matt. Happliy, the hospital security guard agreed; thus, I left with a small feeling of ease.

tab Once I arrived at the cave after driving my silver BMW through Highway 28 and walked a while, I grabbed the needle that I was examining earlier. Then, I headed towards the area where I had found Matt on the floor. As he said, there it was – the speck of blood that might just be the crime-solver. Carefully, I rubbed it with a cotton swab that I brought along with me, and placed the swab in a test tube. After, I traveled, driving my BMW once again and driving through another highway, to a DNA laboratory called Arizona DNA Lab. I yearned for the origin of the blood. I yearned for its owner – the owner who is the definite killer.
tab However, I feared that it was not the killer’s blood, but the blood of my partner or the victim who became deceased here. Lord, I prayed silently, please let it be the killer’s!
