• The next day we ended up near the ocean. There was a town with a pier and freighters in the docks. Jenn and Connor had gone into town.
After a while they came back with a large wooden crate.
“The truck came through here yesterday.” Jenn said, “It left this morning on a freighter.”
“Where were they headed?” I asked.
“We don’t know yet.” Connor replied, “Were on another freighter following it though.”
“Okay, two questions. Why don’t you know and how am I supposed to get onto the freighter?”
“You are going to get in here.” Connor indicated the box.
“Okay. Now back to my first question.”
“Now we have to think of what to –”
    “You’re dodging my question.”
“That’s because he scared the guy off before we could find out.” Jenn answered.
    “What he do?”
“The guy asked why we wanted to know and Connor thought the guy was a spy.”
“I’m sorry if I’m overcautious.” Connor retorted
“You pointed a sword at his face!”
“Sorry!” Connor looked around then turned back,” Charly! In the box!”
    “What?”
    “Get in the box! Now!”
I stepped into the box and it was closed behind me. Moments later it started to move around and I hit the walls.
“Watch it!” I heard Jenn yell, “That’s fragile!”
The movements became slower and I could tell that whoever was carrying the box was being more careful. After a few minutes I was put down. I could hear the sound of water on the hull of a ship. It sounded peaceful.
“We’ll be leaving in ten minutes.” Connors voice came in a whisper.
    “Thanks.” I whispered back.
“Try to get some sleep.” Then I heard him walk away.
It was really a few hours till I could sleep. By then I was travelling over the ocean, bruised and cramped. Not only was my body in pain though, my soul hurt, crying for my family. I fell asleep with a wet face, tears still falling from my eyes.
