• heart heart Nicolette stared into the overly worried eyes of her best friend, Aiden. Or the alternate Aiden, as she percieved him. This wasn't her best friend anymore, this was a boy that obsessed over her and spent time with her twenty-four seven. The one that was overly in love and head over heels. This was her perfect world, she used to think, the one where all was happy-go-lucky and Aiden loved her, too. But now, she wanted her world back.

"What's wrong, baby," he asked her. She closed her eyes and counted to ten. Then she opened them and took a deep breath...............

    ~Back in Reality~

Aiden held on to the limp Nicolette as tightly as he could. He was worried about her, and he wanted to get her help as soon as possible. Out in the clearing of the woods, that wasn't going to happen. Sure, they were close to the farm, only about a half mile away, but with no cell service........ No, he wasn't going to leave her side. This was Nicolette, his best friend, the girl who'd known him for 2 years and didn't walk away because she thought he was crazy and hyper. This was the girl who he now realized he loved. But why? Why did it have to be her to randomly faint in the middle of the woods?

    ~Alternate World~

Nicolette could barely contain the frustratedness held inside her. It bubbled on the surface and she almost exploded.

"The matter is that you.... I don't know who you are!"

"B-but, it's me, sweetie. It's Aiden." He said the words with such concern and confusion that she settled her voice a little and took his hand in hers.

"That's the problem. You're not my Aiden. You are basically an alien to me. You aren't the crazy, hyper, mixed up boy that I fell in love with. You agree with everything I say. You treat me like I'm breakable. I miss the Aiden who always told me I was wrong, even when he knew I was right. The Aiden I used to joke around with. We had fun. I miss the Aiden that I fell around every day because I'm so clumsy, and he'd ask me about three times if I was okay before just saying whatever and we kept going with whatever we were doing. You are not that Aiden. You aren't the Aiden I miss. I miss my best friend. And I want to know a way to get back to my world to see him again."

The almost stranger standing in front of her shifted and figeted a little. He looked her in the eyes after a moment and sighed.

"You really weren't kidding when you said you weren't from here, were you?"

    "No."

"Well then, I'm just going to have to help you get back to where you belong." heart heart
