Ellia sat straight up and stared around the dark expanse of her dream scape; the long black field and wide indigo sky were the same as always. She sighed, pulled her knees up to her chest and waited for the boy she knew would come to show her the knew horrors, "visions" he called them, of tomorrow. A few moments later, a boy appeared across the field and made his way over to Ellia; he had dark skin, tanned and muscled from living in the wilderness, deep green eyes and dark ebony hair. He wore a simple outfit, black jeans and a black fighting shirt, as if he were to be ready for abttle at any moment. He walked gracefully and like a feline preditor making his way towards Ellia.
Ellia felt almost plain compared to Decon, as he sat beside her and stared up at the stars with his piercing green eyes; her own red-brown hair, lilac eyes, and pale skin seemed less exotic compared to his surreal beauty and grace.
"You're early tonight Elle," Decon said in his smooth as velvet voice. Ellia nodded and leaned her head against his shrong shoulder," Well, we don't have to jump right into the nasty visions, why not go for a walk? We haven't seen the sea shore of your dream scape yet, love."
"I don't care," Ellia said softly. Decon smiled and leaned over to pull her into his arms, bride-style, and start towards the end of the field." Why do you care D?" Decon kept walking." I mean, you're only here to give me those creepy visions and hope I can help the person it entitles... Why do you try to make me comfortable and at ease?"
"Elle," Decon said softly," You're not just a random girl, you were given this job for a reason, and I was made your guide for a reason. I am not just a spirit here to tell you all the bad things coming in life; I'm also your friend and I intend to try and make you feel at home in the worst of times. Now, can you walk, or do you want me to keep carrying you?"
"You're warm," Ellia said as an answer. Decon smiled and held her more firmly against his chest and walked down teh beach until they came to a trio of palm trees and a wide black blanket spread between them. Decon sat down and let Ellia sit on his lap silently drawing circles on his chest." I don't get you D, you are such a sweet guy, and form what you've told me of your past life, you have no reason to be in this job; so why are you the bringer of death and visions?"
"It wasn't my choice, love," Decon said tossling her long hair gently," They gave me this job because they believed I would be the best for it. So, here I am with a beautiful girl under teh stars of Gyre, and the only bad side is I have to tell you some nasty visions of the future. I won't be complaining any time soon..."
Ellia hated this place; the Gyre as Decon called it. Her only solace was Decon, this boy who she had fallen for when she knew it was impossible to be with him. She closed her eyes and wished they could be normal and just a happy couple out on a Friday night.
"Can we just get the visions over with?" Ellia said softly. Decon sighed, nodding at her request. He leaned forward and kissed her temple gently; a flash of visions entered Ellia's vision. A boy falling from a tree; a girl crying as a woman hit her; a young man getting hit by a car; a girl from school failing a test. All the bad visions in life were hers to see; a gift they called it, a burden she saw it as. She waited, watching all the horrible things in her mind until they all faded away and Ellia was sobbing in Decon's arms." Why d-does it h-hurt so m-much if I'mn-not the one experiencing it-t?!" Decon hummed a soft tune under his breath and rocked Ellian gently, trying to soothe her. She calmed her tears after a moment and looked up aat Decon, bold and unafraid now." I hate this 'gift'! Decon, I wish it would go away!"
"I do to, Elle," Decon said softly. He kissed her temple gently, again and hugged her waist tiht." I wish you didn't have to deal with this pain..."
"Decon, do you love me?" Ellia asked suddenly. Decon looked down at her, in shock. But as he opened his mouth to speak, the workd began to blur." No!" Ellia sat up in bed and gave a cry of anger." I finally ask and I have to leave! Stupid fate!"
Ellia was used to going to Gyre and seeing the visions, she was used to seeing Decon and talking; she was not used to the pain and anger she always had coming from the Gyre. She hated being the only living Fate left in the world.
