Felix had eventually started a bet that I couldn't get a dance in with the prince. I merely glared at him and refused. There's no way that the prince would dance with me. But he kept pushing me and I eventually said, "Fine. You owe me five sliver coins if I win though."
"Fine." He said, exaperated. "But you owe me the same ammount if I win."
I sighed and made a noe to myself to prepare my five sliver coins once I got back home. The chances of dancing with a prince, let alone a guy, was like one to a million. I was from a poor farm family and I wasn't very popular among the guys, let alone everyone else.
The carriage stopped and I only assumed that we had arrived at our destination. When the door opened, I stepped out first, only to feel like an ant compared to the large castle that loomed over our heads. Felix got out beside me and we both took several steps at the same time to see if we could see any better. Nope. The castle was still a thousand times taller than us.
"Come on you two!" Our mother called, tapping her foot as she waited for us.
We rushed over and followed her inside, awing at the beauty of castle. We apparently arrived just in time because we could hear trumpets blowing. A short fat man waddled, and I mean waddled, onto the podium with a scroll in hand. Me and Felix both giggled at the site of him. As the fat man stated talking, I zoned out, examining my surroundings. I was pulled back into reality as I heard a bunch of girls sigh with content. I found out why a moment later as the Prince walked into view. He crouched down on one knee infront of the man and bowed his head.
"Prince Daimon, I now declare you the official prince of the Kingdom of Skylerk!" The little man's voice boomed as he placed the crown on top of the prince's head.
The prince slowly stood. He seemed to be scanning the crowd for something I just didn't know what. His eyes lit up when he seemed to find what he was looking for, and my heart nearly froze when I realized what he was starring at.
He was staring at me.

- Oh my god. Now that I'm rereading this, I wish I hadn't chosen Daimon as the prince's name and Skylerk as the Kingdom's name.
