• Today I decided to take the kid they assigned me out to the slums to show him more about how Midgar is. Below the plates the slums are where the less fortunate live , those that can't quiet make it up to the plates end up living down there. Why would anyone want to when you can always move away? The kid doesn't even have a name so I decided to call him Mako , because thats the only way to describe this kids eyes. Its like staring at mako energy being streamed. Its like their always shifting around , the green colored part that is. I was never good with biology to name parts properly. What happened was that the kid seemed at home in the slums. He actually played with a couple kids and I had to practically drag him back home. Maybe ShinRa is wrong in keeping him isolated. Of course this little trip today was off the record. I told them I was going to take him around the city for the day and show him my favorite places to eat. Not entirely a lie because we did plan to go to this amazing steak place. Sometimes breaking regulations is called for when you know its the right thing to do. Especially for this kid. His miserable looking when I have to take him to the labs for a checkup. Why the labs? Why not the medical facilities. On the way home he sort of froze up though when we came across where wisps of the mako stuff was leaking. Just stood there staring at it and then he said "why do I feel like its calling to me?" What can I say to the kid , I'm only supposed to be taking care of him as a body guard and guardian until they say so. So I told him "you must be tired kid , lets go get something to eat before we go back home." I got a feeling that theres more to Mako the kid than ShinRa has told me to date. Maybe I'll do some digging up. Its only natural to know about what you have to take care of. Besides I have been planning to get away from the city for abit because its been unbearably hot lately. The only problem is they never specified what town in the country he came from. Guess I'm taking a extended vacation until I find out. Guess I finally get to be a big brother , and if thats the case Mako is going to get the best one he will ever have.
