He stared down at the sidewalk where he was from his "new" house. He fell backwards, towards the wall of the house to clutch onto. He leaned back againest it, leaning his head back and letting out a deep breath that was held for so long.
He had lied to them, and he felt a deep pain inside his stomach from letting them come out his mouth almost too believeable.
He told his girlfriend he had to go on a buisness trip, and he wouldn't be back for a while.
He told his son and daughter, Samantha and Maxamillion, that him and mommy weren't getting along well, so he was leaving and never coming back.
But the worst of all, he had lied to himself, saying everything was going to be fine without them.
Everywhere he looked, he saw Samantha's inherited sea blue eyes, and Maxamillion's brown, curly, and un-kept head. Everytime he looked at his "soulmate" Shannon, the one he wanted, the one he left his old family for, he saw Karen's brown, soft, and mesmirizing eyes.
He shook his head, brought out a silver flask from his brown leather jacket, opened the top, and took a swig. He shivered from the warmth of it, trickling down his throat to his stomach.
His teeth clattered together from the cold inside Chicago, and a saw a small snowflake drop from the gray, cloudy, night sky.
He frowned, and walked towards the porch of his house, stepping up 3 steps to get towards the brown and rotten wooden door, and open it up to the warmth of his house.
He stepped in, un-wrapping his multi-colored scarf from his head, and taking off his black gloves.
Finally, he put his leather jacket, Karen gave him as a birthday present, on the jacket rack.
"What were you doing out there, Jacob?" Shannon asked, her back turned towards him.
Jacob pursed his lips, and heard the occasianol clattering of the dishes hitting each other hard but gently, and the sounds of drops from the sink faucet hitting the brown, dirty water where she was putting her hands in.
"Nothing," he replied, hiding his flask behind his back. Shannon turned to look at him, a dish-rag inside her left, porcalin skinned hand.
Jacob smirked slightly at her narrowed brown eyes, which made Shannon turned back around and countine her dish-washing.
He sighed, and walked towards her, wrapping his arms around her almost too perfect waist.
He buried his head inside her long, straight, brown hair, the smell of peaches and strawberries filling his nostrils.
She pushed him off gently, and gave him a soft look of mockery. She turned her head back towards the dishes, and ignored his moves to try and get her attention.
After what seemed like forever, Jacob gave up and walked towards the living room, where everything was mis-matched.
The couches were a red, rough, carpet like, seats. The television was a cube size and small, sometimes hard to see what was going on on the screen. The walls were a light green, and the whole floor inside the house was a dark brown, almost black, wood.
He lazily sat down, and ended up laying down, watching something almost like The Queen Of Kings.
His stomach kept hurting him, and he let out a small grunt from the pain. He had to convince himself that lying to his old family was the best thing to do, besides, Karen wasn't as beautiful as Shannon.
But what about the children? I was the one inside the house that had the job with a lot of money, while Karen was taking care of the kids. . . But what's going to happen my babies? I could tell another lie, that my buisness trip was going to Hawaii and that I wanted to bring the kids along and that she should stay inside the house while I was gone, take a break from them and I would take care of them. . . But then she'll probaly ask to go. . . Damn. . .
He yawned tiredly, stretched, and kept thinking of how to get his kids with him without making Karen wonder.
He gave up trying to stay awake, and fell asleep. One leg dangling off the couch, and his mouth opened. . .
Everything will be. . . Fine
