• I continued to worry about us. What if we die? What if something happens to us? What if we get lost? I shook my head and sighed. I didn't need to worry. Luke would always figure out a way to save our lives. I think Luke is more or a protector than a savior. Across the street I saw two twin girls. They both had shoulder length brown hair. They seemed to be.....watching us. I walked faster. Luke was starting to growl at them. Along the way I found a bakery. I told Luke to stay and went inside. After purchasing the food we went in an alleyway. I gave Luke a long piece of bread. He enjoyed that a lot. I munched on my Melon Bread. When we were done we set off on our walk again. I saw the twins walk past us. Suddenly they turned around and the tall one stepped forward. I saw ice freeze my legs in one place. "This is Kai Nowayna. Lets kill her, Nari." the tall one said. Nari walked forward and smiled. "Indeed she is, Nare." Nari said smiling at her sister. Luke lunged at Nari and they went into a tumble. I took out my sword and stabbed Nare in the arm. She shrieked and threw ice shards at me. I spun my sword to shatter them. I shot Nare through the heart and then I aimed for Nari.

I couldn't shoot. Luke was in the way. I didn't want to risk hurting him. I kept my finger on the trigger. I waited for the right timing. When Nari got up I fired. She gasped and fell backward. Luke ran to me and licked my leg. I hugged him by the neck. I was so happy I didn't shoot him. I smiled at him. He was my best friend. And I was his. We ran off for a long time. When night fell, we would sleep in alleyways. I turned to face a shooting star and shut my eyes. I wished for good luck and that we wouldn't die just yet. I laid down and shut my eyes. I waited for sleep to come across my eyes.
