- Why does the moon take over nighttime? She thinks the dark sky will shadow her from all the sadness in the world, she cries every night creating a sea of stars to make the world more blind sighted to how sad she is. She is always up there so alone and no one to be with, her brother the sun always loved her, but he has always done his duty to make the world a bright sunny place also. So the sad sorrowful moon decided to bring some sadness to the daylight creating small clouds to shadow over some of the happiness in the daylight. Why would she do that? To help her brother relax every now and then, but the sun can never help her in return. He has always wished for the moon to be happy so one day the sun asked the gods, 'Please let my sister leave the darkness!' the gods agreed to his sorrowful and heartfelt request and made the moon able to become invisible in the nightime sky letting her not shed more tears every day. Soon the moon came to the gods and asked whenever she was supposed to cry at night that she may be visible in the daytime sky for a while. The gods were opposed but allowed it considering all the tears she had shed when she worked full time. Mom? Yes sweet heart? Why did she want that? Well the moon wanted to see her brother more often instead of once every ten years or so, Mom why are the gods so mean to the brother and sister? Because honey they are oppisite, now time to sleep, okay momma.
