• tab It was a normal Halloween night in the town of Sera. Kids were out trick-or-treating in all sorts of costumes. I watched as kids came p to the front door of my house, from my perch on the hood of my Eclipse, and rang the doorbell. I shook my head and scowled when I saw that one of the kids was dressed as a princess.
    tab "Pathetic," I growled as my parents gave the kids candy. As far as I was concerned Halloween was a night kids should dress p like monsters and not pathetic princesses and such. I was beyond sch childish things like trick-or-treatingat 17-years and had stopped that kind of stuff when I was 10.
    tab Still, I seemed like I was still into the holiday since I was dressed up. What I was wearing wasn't a costume but real Vampire Hunter gear. No, I wasn't a Vampire Hunter but my current boyfriend was. He's the one who believed in monaters and I was just along for the ride.
    tab That night I was waiting for him to arrive, thinking about how stupid the whole night was going to be. I took a drag of smoke from the cig I had been holding in my mouth and blew out the smoke in one large sigh. Then I finally saw the headlights of my boyfriend's McLaren F1 turning up my driveway. I dropped the cig onto the pavement and stomped it out with my foot as I slid off of my car's hood.
    tab He stopped in front of me and I walked over to the passenger side. I popped the door open, slipped into the car's leather interrior, and shut the door.
    tab "I was begining to think you weren't going to show Seth," I said trning to my boyfriend. He gave me a sinister smile and laughed.
    tab "You doubt my loyalty," Seth asked mockingly. "Have I not prooved myself to you well enough Evening?" This time I laughed but one look at Seth told me that he was being serious.
    tab "We best get going if we want to destroy the Vampire that I have captured," he said coldly and I quickly stopped laughing.
    tab The drive to the abondoned house where the Vampire had been trapped was short. Soon Seth and I were standing inside a musty bedroom with an impossibly hot guy standing facing us. Hatred flarded in his crimson eyes, partially hidden behing greasy long black hair.
    tab "Time to die Vampire," Seth said calmly and started to advance on the boy. The boy shrank back but continued to glare at Seth. Still, the boy stood tall and bravely faced Seth-who now held a wooden sword in his hands-but now fear shone bright in his crimson eyes.
    tab "Seth stop!" I heard myself shout the words that my mind was screaming. Seth whirled around and his open hand smacked my face.
    tab "Never tell me not to kill a monster like it," he yelled,pointing at the Vampire as I fell to the floor. Through the tears that were bluring my vision I saw a look of pure fury and disbefeif flash over the Vampire's face. I knew what was coming next and squeezed my eyes shut to keep myself from seeing the horrifying scene that was about to unfold. The only part I actually remember was the scent of blood and a dying scream. The very scent of blood made me lapse into unconsciousness and I blacked out.
