• That day I avoided everyone even my own sister, Janna. Janna was a slut she had gone out with basically all the guys in school. She was about two years older than me. I would bet Preston even likes her. Anyways as I was walking I saw Janna talking to Zak. Man I wanted to know what was happening over there if I guessed Janna was flirting again. I walked over there to ask was going but Zak and Janna left like I didn’t exist. It was also like they were going out. I don’t have time to think about that I had to find Leslie and Brianna. It seemed as if I walked everywhere at school and I looked like a stray puppy.


    Until I bumped into Katie she was sitting on the benches at the cafeteria.
    “Hey Iris guess what” she said. “Um you’re going out with someone” I said. “No where did you hear that?” She replied. “Oh just guessing” I said. “Preston wants to go out with you” she then said. “What shut up Katie is this true because I saw you kissing Preston” I said. “It was just a friend thing don’t worry about it” she said. “A friend thing how can you do that- you know what I don’t trust you” I said. Then I cussed at her in Spanish and left feeling pretty good about myself. I was so glad that Katie didn’t know Spanish.

    At lunch Preston came by and sat next to me. I was still blowing off steam from screaming at Katie. “So are you going to the dance with Venny?” Preston asked. “Um I don’t know who are you going with?” I asked. “This girl named Katie you knew her right-I like her” he said. “Good for you” I said as I was feeling hurt, lied to, manipulated, and devastated. Then Preston and I talked for awhile then I left. I was about to cry. It was like one of those daytime TV shows that you can’t stop watching. I went into the girl’s bathroom to cry. I cried for a long time. Until Leslie recognized that it was me crying. “Iris you have to stop crying or your eyes will be puffy” Leslie said. “I hate Katie how can she lie to me her best friend?” I said with a very sad voice. “Iris get the hold of your self go to the dance with Venny it will be fun” Leslie said.
