Josie had the best memory. Who wouldn't remember all the horrors that poor Josie had to face. Her mother was one of the biggest. Josie's very first memory was one of when she was about 4 or 5. She had spilled chocolate milk all over her mom's new white couch. She cried in horror, while her daddy promised it would be ok. Of course though it wasn't. Her dad had to leave for work and her mom finally woke up from a xanex induced slumber.
The pain stabbed at her even just remembering. The emergency room had thought she had taken a bad fall down the stairs. The truth was she was thrown agaisnt a wall and then dragged up the stairs and hung by a curtin at the side of her house. No one saw being that they lived out in the middle of no where. It was her sister who had taken her to the hospital on her bike. The ride was so very painful in itself. Then the doctors had poked and probed and asked so many questions.
Being that grandpa basically owned the hospital no one suspected that her mother had done it. She had gone home with a sprained arm, and a broken ankle. She had a horrible concussion and her ribs were horibally bruised. So young she had been lucky to survive the first of many beatings.
